This is true to me because most people treat God like their personal slave. They expect God to come through when they need him but, they don't want to give Him the praise He so much deserves.

This quote is only true because wanting something just because someone else wants it or has it may only lead to jealousy. Being grateful for what you have is an excellent thing because there are people in other parts if the world thats not as fortunate as you may be.

This quote is very true because sometimes you have to take the initiative and make a choice instead of waiting around for what could possibly happen. Then, sometimes the chance that happens  may not always be great.

This quote to me is absolutely correct. Its saying no matter how bad life starts off for you just make the most of it. Life throws crucial hands at you just make sure you play a killer hand.

Basically this saying means that you speak bad fortune on yourself. However I don't agree with this because you are never really certain about what will happen. There's no such thing as predicting or talking down on yourself.

This quote is correct but, I will have to contradict myself because its also is incorrect. I, myself, being a child who had neither parent, believes that you don't necessarily have to have your parents around.  I think from the good common sense that God gave us, we can give ourselves advice or put ourselves on the right path. But, since a guardian is something like a parent then I can say I had that exact same motivation as well as anyone else who had good parents or guardians.

Mind And Body

Quote: Reading is to the mind as exercise is to the body...

What this quote is saying to me is that reading does the mind as good as exercise does the body. Its sort of like the mind is getting in shape by reading. But, I don't necessarily agree with this because there's other ways to exercise the brain other than reading. There's brainteasers, crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, and a variety of other things.
